What this guide helps you decide.

  • The new Nusa Penida retribution structure takes effect on 1 September 2026. This guide was checked on 4 September 2026.
  • Adult entry is Rp 25,000 at Kelingking, Rp 25,000 for the combined Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong stop, and Rp 25,000 at Crystal Bay.
  • Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach entry is Rp 60,000 per person. Tree House entry is Rp 25,000; its optional photo fee is another Rp 75,000 per person.
  • The island levy and attraction tickets are different charges. Boat-only tickets are not an all-attractions pass.
  • baseBali Nusa Penida tours include entrance tickets to all attractions on the confirmed itinerary. Optional photos, activities and extra stops are separate.

Picture the moment you reach the cliff above Diamond Beach: bright turquoise water, white sand far below, and limestone peaks rising out of the sea. That is the part of Nusa Penida worth remembering. Recalculating your cash at the next entrance gate is not.

If you have been comparing Nusa Penida entrance ticket prices, older travel blogs can now leave a gap in your budget. The new retribution structure applies from 1 September 2026, and paying to enter the island does not mean every beach and viewpoint is already paid for.

This guide separates three things that are easily confused: the island levy, entry to each attraction, and optional experiences such as a Tree House photo. All amounts are in Indonesian rupiah (IDR); Rp 60K means Rp 60,000. The route calculations below are ticket budgets, not complete tour prices.

Use this table for independent sightseeing. These are attraction entry prices, not fast boat fares or full-day tour prices. The separate island levy is explained in the next section.

The destination prices below were confirmed by baseBali Tours for this September 2026 update. A child's Rp 15,000 government tariff should not be assumed to apply to every privately managed attraction or optional photo service.

What changed on 1 September 2026?

The Klungkung government announcement sets 1 September 2026 as the start date for the new tourism retribution structure. It distinguishes the tourism-area levy from fees at individual attractions, known locally as Daya Tarik Wisata or DTW.

The island levy applies to foreign visitors: Rp 25,000 for an adult and Rp 15,000 for a child. The announced DTW tariff is also Rp 25,000 for adults and Rp 15,000 for children, and applies to both foreign and domestic visitors at applicable attractions.

The change is not a single ticket covering the whole island. If you arrange your own day, budget by the places you actually visit. Specific site charges and optional services are listed separately above; the new government tariff is not a claim that every site's total price is identical.

We do not show a before-and-after percentage increase because the previous charges and inclusions were not uniform across all destinations. The useful comparison is your current route total, with each charge identified.

Diamond Beach entrance fee: Rp 60,000 per person

Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach have a combined entrance price of Rp 60,000 per person in this update. Use that figure when planning your East Nusa Penida beach stops; do not rely on an older Rp 35,000 or Rp 45,000 reference.

Diamond's appeal is the coastline itself: sharp limestone formations, a white crescent of sand, and changing shades of blue. Atuh adds a different coastal angle, making the two beaches a natural focus for an east-side day rather than a quick detour from the far west.

Entry payment does not guarantee access to every staircase or beach section. Follow current on-site restrictions, barriers and your guide's advice. Viewpoint time can still be worthwhile without attempting a descent, particularly when conditions or the return boat schedule limit your day.

For the route and practical walking expectations, see the East Nusa Penida tour guide.

Tree House tickets: Rp 25,000 entry + Rp 75,000 for photos

Rumah Pohon Tree House has two separate charges. Entering the area costs Rp 25,000 per person. Choosing the paid Tree House photo experience costs an additional Rp 75,000 per person. Your total for both is Rp 100,000 per person.

For a couple, that means Rp 50,000 for two area tickets and Rp 150,000 for two photo fees: Rp 200,000 altogether. The photo fee is per person, not per couple or per group.

The famous wooden house and offshore limestone islands make this a distinctive photo stop, but not every traveler needs the paid shot. Decide whether it matters to you before booking. Ask about the queue and current photo arrangements on the day; buying area entry alone does not include the paid photo experience.

West Nusa Penida: a realistic entrance-fee budget

The classic West route visits Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong and Crystal Bay. Because Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong share the combined entry listed above, this example counts three paid entries rather than four.

For an independently traveling adult, those attraction tickets total Rp 75,000. A foreign adult also budgets Rp 25,000 for the island levy, bringing this entry-only example to Rp 100,000.

Adding Paluang Cliff adds Rp 30,000 per person to this independent entry budget. Boat tickets, transport, parking, food, snorkeling and other optional services are not part of the calculation.

East Nusa Penida: beach entry and photo costs

For a simple East entry budget, combine Diamond Beach + Atuh Beach at Rp 60,000 with Tree House area entry at Rp 25,000. That is Rp 85,000 per person before the optional photo or foreign visitor island levy.

Choosing the Tree House photo adds Rp 75,000. This brings the attraction-and-photo subtotal to Rp 160,000; a foreign adult including the island levy budgets Rp 185,000.

Book a baseBali tour with attraction entrance tickets included

With a baseBali Nusa Penida tour, entrance tickets to all attractions on your confirmed itinerary are included in the tour booking price. You do not need to add the independent sightseeing entry totals above to that package again.

The benefit is a day you can understand before you travel: a chosen route, coordinated transport, and a clear list of covered attractions. Instead of comparing only the cheapest headline price, compare what your final booking actually includes.

All itinerary entrance tickets included means exactly that. It does not mean unlimited access to every destination on Nusa Penida, an optional Tree House photo, snorkeling, or an unplanned detour. We list optional additions separately so you can decide what is worth adding.

Compare the West Nusa Penida tour and East Nusa Penida tour. Send your date, group size and hotel area through WhatsApp for the applicable package price and a written inclusion summary.

Ask the team to identify the island levy separately in that summary as well. Keeping it distinct from attraction entry makes the booking easier to check, particularly for a group with different nationalities or children's ages.

How to compare Nusa Penida tour prices fairly

Two tour prices can look similar while covering very different days. A boat-only ticket, an island car booking, and a full tour from your Bali hotel are not interchangeable products. Before choosing, ask what you will still need to pay after arrival.

  • Confirm the exact destination list, not just the words West or East.
  • Check whether your price covers hotel pickup, return fast boat, island transport and lunch.
  • Ask which attraction entrances and island levy are included.
  • Separate Tree House photos and snorkeling from standard sightseeing.
  • Provide children's ages and nationalities for an accurate quote.
  • Check the total for your actual group size and pickup address.

Already arranging your own island transport? The Sanur to Nusa Penida fast boat page is the right starting point. Keep the attraction budget separate from that boat booking.

Children, payment and a smoother day at the gates

The 31 August implementation report from detikBali identifies the child bracket as ages 4–13 for the government tariff and describes digital, barcode-based retribution payments. This is not confirmation of a child discount for every private attraction, photo service or boat operator.

Carry your booking confirmation and any issued tickets, and follow the payment instructions at the official entry point. Keep some rupiah for optional services and personal purchases, whose payment methods can differ from the government ticket system.

Do not pay twice simply because the fees are unfamiliar. If an included stop asks you for another payment, show your booking summary to your driver or contact baseBali before proceeding. Extra destinations and optional services should be agreed before they are added.

Choose a route with time to enjoy it. Walking, photo queues, road travel and the return boat all need room in the schedule. Follow local access restrictions and leave a beach descent out if it would make the day rushed.

How this September 2026 price guide was checked

The effective date and government levy structure are taken from the Klungkung announcement linked above. The implementation report supports the child-age and digital-payment explanation. Site entry and photo prices in the table were confirmed by baseBali Tours for this update, including Diamond Beach at Rp 60,000 and Tree House at Rp 25,000 entry plus an optional Rp 75,000 photo.

Published and last checked on 4 September 2026. The retribution change took effect on 1 September 2026; that effective date is not the article's publication date. Site management, access and fees can change again, so reconfirm your itinerary before travel. This guide does not claim that every private charge was newly introduced on 1 September.

Nusa Penida entrance fee questions

Adult entry is Rp 25,000 at Kelingking, Rp 25,000 for combined Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong entry, and Rp 25,000 at Crystal Bay. Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach entry is Rp 60,000 per person. Tree House area entry is Rp 25,000, with an optional Rp 75,000 photo fee. The island levy is separate.

No. The island levy is separate from attraction entry. Foreign visitors pay Rp 25,000 per adult or Rp 15,000 per child for the island levy; visiting applicable attractions involves their own entry tickets.

Yes. The announced attraction-entry tariff applies to domestic and foreign visitors at applicable sites. The separate island tourism-area levy applies to foreign visitors.

Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach combined entry costs Rp 60,000 per person in the September 2026 baseBali price update. Do not count the combined price twice.

The optional Rumah Pohon Tree House photo costs Rp 75,000 per person, in addition to Rp 25,000 per person for area entry. Entry plus the photo totals Rp 100,000 per person or Rp 200,000 for two people.

The September 2026 price table uses one combined entry of Rp 25,000 per adult or Rp 15,000 per child for Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong. The West route budget counts that combined stop once.

For an independent adult visiting Kelingking, combined Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong, and Crystal Bay, attraction tickets total Rp 75,000. A foreign adult adds the Rp 25,000 island levy for an entry-only total of Rp 100,000. Transport, parking, food and optional stops are extra.

Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach entry, Tree House area entry and the optional Tree House photo total Rp 160,000 per person. A foreign adult including the Rp 25,000 island levy budgets Rp 185,000. This example excludes other stops, transport, parking and meals.

Yes. baseBali Nusa Penida tours include entrance tickets to all attractions on the confirmed itinerary. This is not unlimited entry to every attraction on the island. Optional Tree House photos, snorkeling and extra stops are separate; check the written booking summary for the full list of inclusions.

No. The Tree House area entrance is included when that stop is on your confirmed baseBali itinerary, but the optional Rp 75,000-per-person photo is separate. Request it when booking so the extra is clear.

No. A boat-only booking covers the selected sea transfer, not attraction entry or an island sightseeing tour. Choose a full tour if you want the itinerary and its attraction tickets arranged together.

The announced government tariff is Rp 15,000 for children, with ages 4–13 identified in the implementation report. Do not apply that rate automatically to Diamond Beach, Tree House photos or other privately managed services. Send children's ages when requesting a quote.

Spend your day enjoying Nusa Penida, not adding up entrance fees.
